I hate dieting.

I do. It sucks. Why can't I just stuff myself with pizza and ice cream everyday and be 120 pounds? haha.

*sigh*

What do you all do out there for motivation?

A Decision Has Been Made!

Hubby and I did some talking today..

Over the weekend we booked a week-long vacation to celebrate my Mom's 50th.. so we are going to take her, her bf, and my Grams to Florida! We are all super excited, but we are all very unhappy with our current weights, so we are all starting diets TOMORROW.

Hubby is not a skinny man.. and although I can not get his tush onto a scale, he is over 250, easily. Size is not what bothers me, I worry about his health.. as his family has a lot of weight-related diseases and illnesses.

So we talked.

Weight watchers just isn't for me. I dunno. It's not that I don't want to count points or weigh my food.. it's just that I am always starving. This starving leads me to binging, which ultimately leads me to falling off and getting back to my old ways. It is so discouraging and I know myself the best and it's just not for me.

With that being said, we are going to head back to the South Beach diet. We both felt pretty good on it (not hungry, or lethargic, or ravenous) and I need to get myself off of carbs, because they have become an addiction.

Since we still have some non-SB foods in the house, Hubby will work on finishing those up here and there, but I bought only SB friendly foods today at the store, so we are on our way.. slowly.

I'm still going to keep sharing my food on here, because it really does help me stay accountable.

Thank you to everyone who has been giving me some support.. you guys are the best!

Happy Hump Day!

Today was an ordinary day for me.

Got up, played paralegal for 8 hours, then worked out.

3 days in a row! woohoo! I'm up to 90/300 minutes for February! Not bad for only 3 days!

Breakfast: dannon light 'n fit yogurt with granola
Lunch: Salad with gyro meat and a pita
Snack: some strawberries and blueberries
Dinner: taco salad (can you tell Hubby and myself love mexican food? hahaha)

Tonight is going to be an early night as my body is killing me from the gym, plus I kind of want to get up early and head to the gym before work. Tomorrow night I'll meet Hubby at my Mom's house so we can spend some time with my crazy family. hehe.

Night bloggies!

Day 9

Hellooooooooooooooooooooo!

Guess who worked out AGAIN?!?!?! and, I DID WEIGHTS!

Somebody please check outside and tell me that the sky isn't falling!

THIS IS HUGE!

and I feel fabulous!

As I sat on some machine working my gorgeously sexy, yet oh-so-white and dry legs, I was reminded about just how much I enjoy getting my booty to the gym for a nice sweat-fest. My shirt was damp, my face was red and my hair was a mess, but I hadn't felt this good in a really long time. I'm SO happy that I went.. and I will be going again tomorrow! YAY!

Anyways. food wise I did super!

Breakfast: greek yogurt with strawberries and blueberries
Snack: tostitos with hummus (thank god I finished off the hummus because I am seriously addicted to it)
Lunch: leftover chicken fajitas (just 1 wrap)
Snack: kashi cereal with some skim milk
Dinner: Szechuan Chicken (from Green Giant) which was pretty yummy. (had it with some brown rice)

As for my February goals: add another 30 minutes of cardio to my time for a total of: 60/300

Accordingly to my ultra-cute pink polar heart rate monitor I burned 350 calories tonight! yes!

Gooooooooals for February!

I know I'm a little late as it is almost February 10th and the month is 1/3 over, but here goes my goals for February:

*aim for 300 minutes of cardio (so far 30/300 completed!)
*shoot for at least 7 1/2 hours of sleep a night
*try 2 new recipes by the end of the month
*journal everything (debating on where to do this.. fitday.com or sparkpeople.com)

That's it for this month. I have to start off small otherwise I'll feel overwhelmed and bomb out. These goals are definately attainable, just need to remain in focus!

woohooooo!

Day 8

Today is Day 8 because last week was a mess and I can't justify counting it. haha.

Breakfast was greek yogurt with bananas and strawberries. mmmmm.

Snack: tostitos with hummus. double yum.

Lunch: turkey (with 1 slice of fat free rubbery cheese. yuck) and some pickles

Snack: I was so busy at work that I forgot! *gasps*

30 minutes of running/jogging. I would have liked to do more but when you have to wait 20 minutes to park the car in a valet parking lot, my body is lucky I didn't turn the car around and go home and eat cheetos. haha.

Dinner: a Mexican fiesta! fajitas (with chicken, peppers, onions, low fat cheese, low fat sour cream) and mexican rice. *shakes maracas* I double heart mexican night. hehehe.

On the drive home from the gym I had a revelation. In order to truly commit to this, I am going to set some goals for myself. After our fiesta I am going to outline them and then, post them here! for accountability and support, of course! woohoooooo!

What are some of your goals for the month? come on girlies, give me some help!

MIA for a week...

Sorry bloggies.. I was completely off track for the last week.. but tomorrow I am back on!

I'm torn between whether or not I should continue with Weight Watchers (where I feel like I'm staving 90% of the time) or go back to South Beach (which helped me loose the wedding weight). What are your thoughts??

Figured I'd post some pics of the wedding for inspiration and for anyone who wants to see :-)

Recap of Day 6 .. and Day 7!

So Day #6 turned out exactly as I had planned. Hubby got off of work (yes!) and we headed to my Mom's for some super bowl fun! Besides writing out our wedding thank you's, we ate, and drank a lot.

Breakfast: bagel w/ turkey and swiss
Lunch: a rainbow cookie (healthy, right?)
Dinner: Chili
Super Bowl Snacks: Hubby's spinach dip and some cookies

I didn't make wise food choices, but I promised myself that I wouldn't overindulge, and I didn't. yay.

Day #7 (today)
TOM is here. Considering that I am pleased with how my eating went today.

Breakfast: cereal w/ skim milk
Lunch: I had gotten steamed chicken and veggies from the chinese restaurant, but it was gross, so I went to Cosi and got a Cosi Cobb "light" of course! (no bread)
Snack: yogurt
Dinner: stir-fry. mmm.

Overall I think I did pretty well, I just need to figure out the points.

Now if I can only get my rear to the gym.. I'm lacking major motivation in that department.
